da qui per parlare del suo libro “Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual”.
Ma prima di recensire il
libro, è necessario descrivere brevemente la sua carriera. Conseguì
il B.F.A. in makeup teatrale al Boston's Emerson College e si
trasferì a New York City per cominciare a lavorare come truccatrice
professionista. Lì lavorò con fotografi quali Bruce Weber e Arthur
Elgort per American Vogue e con Francesco Scavullo per Cosmopolitan e
Self.

Before going
straight on reviewing the book, we must sketch her career out.

Il libro affronta i temi più importanti del mondo del makeup e contiene molte foto dettagliate, che illustrano passo dopo passo diverse tipologie di applicazione del trucco. Inoltre, descrive ogni tipo e colore di carnagione e come far risaltare il proprio viso, gli occhi ecc. La cosa che più mi piace di questo libro è che contiene consigli e trucchetti davvero utili.
The book covers the most important fields of the makeup world and has lots of detailed photos that illustrate “step by step” different makeup applications. Also, it talks about every kind and colour of complexions and how to enhance your face, your eyes and so on. The thing I like the most about this book is that it contains loads of very useful tips and tricks.
E' un libro ben fatto ma allo stesso tempo troppo semplice per chi già conosce il mondo del makeup. Inoltre, non ci sono molti look creativi da cui prendere ispirazione o da farti esclamare “Wow, questo trucco è meraviglioso!”.
Penso che questo
libro sia ottimo per i principianti, o per chi vuole cominciare a
lavorare in questo mondo. O per chi, più semplicemente, vuole trovare la propria
individualità attraverso il trucco.
A parte qualche termine "tecnico", vi assicuro che il libro è di facile lettura anche per chi non mastica bene l'inglese.

Honestly, it’s a really good book although it’s too basic for who is familiar with makeup and stuff around it. In addition, it hasn’t many creative makeup looks to draw inspiration from or making you say “Wow, this look is amazing!”.
After
all, I think this book is
a pretty good introduction to this world
for beginners, or
for those who
want to set their career up; or, of course,
to find your individuality through the
makeup.
Pro: ben organizzato, molte foto, trucchi e consigli, prezzo (circa 15€ su Amazon).
Contro: troppo semplice per chi è già esperto in questo settore.
Voto: 7+
Pros: well

Cons: too basic if
